Isah Ladan Bosso the Head coach of the Nigeria U-20 national team this week made his choices for the players which he intends to use during the WAFU U-20 Cup Of Nations. The 20-man list which was released this Thursday by media officials of the NFF has been on the spotlight with players on the list being a trending topic, one of such players is Charles Etim, an academy player from Blessed Stars Football Academy, Uyo.
Etim Charles who had played the just concluded U-17 FIFA World Cup is a talented player and is the youngest lad in the list of Ladan Bosso’s 20 man list for the WAFU scheduled at Benin Republic from December 5 to 20. Etim Charles while playing the U-17 World cup had appeared in 4 out of 5 matches at the World Cup and was considered top talent during the game.
It comes as a surprise why he is still unsigned up till now. The defense maestro had played left-back , right back and even defensive midfield during the just concluded U-17. According to his club Blessed Stars Football Academy, Etim is infact a utility player and can easily adapt wherever he finds himself.
Just like Ndidi, Charles can play any position, according to a publication by Sky Sports, Ndidi is a remarkable player that is very versatile as can be said about Charles Etim.
This year during the WAFU, Charles is expected to play from 2 (Right-Back) which is his favorite position. During an interview with the golden boy from Blessed Stars sometime January he explained that he loves playing defensive midfield as well. With his top form and continuous improvement, the Akwa Ibom born defender will play a pivotal role in the success of the Nigeria U-20 national team.
Charles Etim was also one the players that was hurriedly invited by Coach Isah Ladan Bosso.
