Sodiq Ismail and five other players are yet to arrive at the Ikenne Camp as the Super Eagles B begins preparation for the 2024 CHAN, Sports247 reports.
Reports emanating from the camp of the team on Wednesday, 8th January 2024 shows that a total of twenty out of the twenty players invited for the final preparations towards the 2024 Africa Nations Championship, CHAN, are already in camp as coach Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu led the team in training and drills.
Six players are to report to camp, these are Remo Stars defender, Ismail Sodiq, Nasarawa United duo, Yusuf Anas and Victor Collins.
Others are Enyimba Goalie , Henry Ozoemena, Defender Omoh Obot, and Sunday Megwo of Abia Warriors.
No official reason was given for the absence of Sodiq Ismail but feelers have it that the player might have left the shores of the country in pursuit of greener pastures in Europe as the player has been linked to a move away from the Remo Stars.
As for Yusuf Anas, and Victor Collins, both players were on duty for his club side in the rescheduled NPFL matches on Wednesday, against Enyimba where Yusuf Anas netted his 11th goal of the season , his side solitary goal in the 2-1 defeat of the Miners at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba.
While Henry Ozoemena, and defender Omoh Obot also starred for Enyimba in the encounter.
