Chairman Goddosky FC, Chief Godwin Agbasimelo in a show of benevolence on Saturday 25th April 2020 distributed Pallatives in the form of bags of rice to 18 Local Government Areas of Anambra State.
The patriotic gesture exhibited by the Ezinifite born Indigene of the Nnewi South LGA of the state through his Oga Ndi Oga Foundation (ONOF) is to cushion the effect of the lockdown directives of the government aimed at protecting the citizens of the state from the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the globe. A total of 70,000 10kg bags of rice was distributed to representatives of the 18 Local Government Areas of the state for the less privileged and indigents in the various communities domiciled within the Local Governments.
In his reaction, National Coordinator Oga Ndi Oga Foundation, Engr. Echezona Udoka stated that Chief Agbasimelo’s philanthropic gesture was a way to show love to his people and by extension to 18 LGAs of the state. He stated that about 3000 to 5000 bags of rice will be distributed based on the number of wards in each Local Government. He further posited that distribution of palliatives for the people of the state will be a continuous process.
While speaking on the progress of Goddosky Football Club, Engr. Udoka opined that Goddosky FC will be playing in the third tier of Nigerian Football, NLO DIVISION ONE, come next season and scouting/recruitment of players will in no distant time commence so as to strengthen the present core of the team.
Chief Godwin Eloka Agbasimelo, a successful business man, is the proprietor of Goddosky FC and founder of the Oga Ndi Oga Foundation (ONOF).
