CEO Showtyme Hoopers, Shola Durojaiye Promises More Support As Ibadan Basketball Championship Dunk Off This Weekend

The CEO of Showtyme Hoopers has assured of his continued support as the Ibadan Basketball Competition, IBC, dunk off the is weekend, Sports247 reports.

The main basketball court of the Adamasingba Sports Complex, in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State, South-West, Nigeria, will host both male clubs on Friday and Saturday as the annual event enters its 4th edition.

One of the brain behind this laudable initiative, Shola Durojaiye, said all the clubs and fans alike will enjoy every moment of this year’s competition.

“The aim of the championship is to create an avenue for male and female basketball players in Oyo State to improve and develop their game while showcasing their talents in a rewarding and competitive basketball championship,” Shola Durojaiye a member of Oyo State Basketball Association (OSBA), said.

He added that, there will be a lots of side attractions as well as musical performances by guest artists on both days and he shed light on the brains behind the event.

“Former basketball players of the great city of Ibadan in the diaspora are the brains behind this laudable project, they came together to give back to the great city,” Shola Durojaiye, who is also the CEO of Showtyme Hoopers BC stated.

The die hard supporter of Oluyole Warriors, stressed that Oyo State and its environs is humming with young and talented basketball players who needs to be encouraged and supported.

“One of the major challenges we faced back in the days was lack of basketball competitions and we are all here to support the kids playing the game of basketball right now and complement the great efforts of the coaches in the state,” he added.

The Ibadan Basketball Championship (IBC), tips off this weekend and the Ibadan Ballers in diaspora have promised to fully back the event and they will continue to support the growth of the slamming and dunking game in all ramification.

Over 850,000 naira has been set aside as prize money for the two day competition.
