Brooke Nunn, the 31-year-old playmaker for Central Coast Mariners, has expressed her newfound ambition to represent Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
Born to a mother of Nigerian and German descent, Nunn’s heritage has always been an important part of her identity.
However, it wasn’t until recent shifts in the inclusion of players of Nigerian descent that she saw a real opportunity to play for the Nigerian national team.
Nunn’s extensive career includes stints with top clubs such as Arsenal, where she won the Women’s Super League twice and several other titles.

Her journey also took her through various European leagues, including the Turkish Super League and the Scottish Women’s Premier League, showcasing her versatility and experience on the field.
Inspired by players like Ashleigh Plumptre, who have successfully integrated into the Super Falcons despite being born outside Nigeria, Nunn feels optimistic about her chances.
She hopes to be a symbol of possibility for other players of Nigerian descent and is eager to contribute to the team’s success on an international stage.
Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu is expected to consider Nunn for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), a move that could mark a significant milestone in her career.
