The lineup shows how difficult it was to get a draw out of the game as the Blazers gave Kelvin the U10 lad his debut in the league and also gave a nod to Farouq and Rahmon who also gave their best.
Ahmed was deployed to defense and Timilehin who was the man of the match in the last league game had an early injury 5 minutes into the match that saw him subbed out for Abdul-Raheem Kehinde. It was a mountain to climb against a strong side as Teslim Balogun FA.
The game saw a slight error by Idowu capitalised on by the Thunder striker who laid it down for a clean finish, however captain fantastic wasn’t done as he scored an unbelievable goal to return the game back to start before half time, while some changes have gone begging before then.
The second half saw Alaka Roqeeb coming in for Kelvin who had an excellent first half as Ahmed was pushed up front, here we saw a more attacking-minded blazers but were denied by the defense who kept blocking all incoming shots. However Teslim made it 1-2 from a well-struck free-kick, but Kehinde wasn’t done as his long pass found Ahmed who finished the ball coolly from box 6.
The game ended 2-2 with Salami Kehinde grabbing the man of the match and Ablaze maintain the top of the league after S-Nada drew their game against Golden Boys FA.
