Reigning champions of the NWFL Premiership, Bayelsa Queens will begin their quest to secure a ticket to the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League when the qualifiers for the competition begin next month.
The WAFU Zone B women’s club football qualifiers tourney is billed to be hosted in Côte d’Ivoire from 13th to 26th of August 2022, where the winners will automatically qualify for the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Bayelsa Queen’s opponents for the group stage of the regional qualifying tournament will be unveiled when the draw takes place on Tuesday, 12th of July, 2022.
Morocco will be the host country for the second edition of the biggest women’s club showpiece in Africa. Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa won the inaugural edition of the tournament that was held in Egypt last year, defeating Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies 2-0 in the final.
