Rivers United face Libyan side, El Nasr Benghazi in a two-legged CAF Confederations Cups group stage qualification Playoff with the team facing difficult times.
Rivers United defeated Wydad Athletic in the first leg of the CAF Champions League qualifiers before suffering a 6-0 away defeat to crash to the confederations cup qualifiers which captain Festus Austin believes is a must win for the team.
“We just have to do more than a hundred percent because we know how important this game is,” Festus told Sports247.
“We don’t have any excuse than to get to the group stage and for that to happen, we have to do everything we can to win convincingly at home and I know we will,” he added.
Rivers United take on El Nasr Benghazi in the first leg of the playoff on Wednesday, 2nd November at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Portharcourt.
