As preparations for the CAF Confederations Cup playoff tie heightens, goalkeeper Darlington Ovunda has revealed the spirit in the camp of the Pride of Rivers ahead of the game on Wednesday Sports247 reports.
“The spirit is very high and we are very optimistic that come Wednesday, we are going to get it right this time, Darlington told Sports247.
Rivers United dropped from the CAF Champions League after a 7-2 aggregate defeat in the hands of the defending champions, Wydad Athletic of Morocco and now face Libyan side El Nasr Benghazi in a two-legged one shot chance at making the group stage of the confederations cup.
“We’re very prepared, the boys are, the spirit is very high like I said and we’re hoping to deliver on Wednesday,” he stated.
The game is scheduled for 2pm Nigerian time on Wednesday, 2nd November at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Portharcourt, Rivers State.
