With just hours to go before the Final Draw of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024, CAF has revealed a revamped logo and a brand-new trophy for the competition.
The updated identity reflects the tournament’s strong connection to African football and culture, showcasing its prestige and evolving significance.
The new CHAN 2024 trophy features a sleek, modern design, blending gold and silver elements to symbolize the tournament’s growing stature. A striking detail is the 54 engraved lines encircling the trophy, representing each of the continent’s nations and celebrating unity and diversity in African football. At the core lies a map of Africa, highlighting the shared passion and collective dreams of the continent’s football community.
This updated trophy stands as a testament to African football’s progress and dedication to excellence, while paying tribute to the players and fans driving the game forward.
The TotalEnergies CHAN 2024, scheduled for August 2025, marks the eighth edition of the competition and the first to be hosted in East Africa since Rwanda in 2016.
The Final Draw will take place tonight, Wednesday, January 15, at the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya. The event begins at 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT / 19:00 Cairo) and will be broadcast live on CAF’s YouTube channel, CAF TV.
The tournament will feature 19 teams comprising home-based players competing for the prestigious title of African champions.
