As the Confederation of African Football (CAF) elections approach, the official list of candidates for various positions has been released.
Among the notable figures confirmed for the FIFA Elective Council is former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick.

He will be competing alongside other candidates, including Morocco’s Fouzi Lekja, Senegal’s Augustin Senghor, and Zambia’s Andrew Kamanga, among others.
However, a major omission from the list is Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT). The legendary footballer had previously expressed interest in running for the CAF presidency, potentially challenging the current leader, Patrice Motsepe.
