Amaju Pinnick has failed in his bid to retain his FIFA executive council seat after he fell short in the CAF election held today in Cairo, Sports247 reports.

The former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, could only pulled 28 votes which is not enough to return to the world football governing council seat.
Amaju Pinnick put up a great fight as he was just one short of the 29 obtained by Souleiman Hassan Waberi of Djibouti, the fifth person who got into the FIFA Council.
Fouzi Lekjaa pulled 49 votes to retain his seat, the Moroccan pulled the highest votes in the race where only best five candidates with highest vote will be elected in the council from Africa.
Others elected are
Hani Abou Rida, 35 votes, Djibrilla Hima Hamidou 35 votes,
Ahmed Yahya, 29 votes and Souleiman Waberi, 29 votes.
