Vice-captain of Plateau United, Daniel Itodo has raised concern about the forthcoming CAF Confederations Cup game against Libyan opponent, Al-Akhdar, stating that a game with another North African Side will be difficult.
Itodo made this known after the draw which revealed that the Jos outfit will face another North African opponent in the second-tier CAF competition.
When asked about the chances of the side against another North African team, Itodo did not hide his feelings. “This game is a very tough one in the sense that we have seen what happened to us in Tunisia and now we are going to play a team in Libya.
” We need to score goals in our home with a good margin before going there. You can see that in the match against Esperance, we were knocked out based on goals.
“We scored a few goals in Abuja but couldn’t make any difference there in Tunisia. They are coming to our home first and we just have to make sure we get more goals because the game is not going to be an easy one”.
Compatriot Rivers United will host El Nasr Benghazi at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt Nov 2, while Plateau United will entertain Al-Akhdar at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja same day.
