Rivers United have left the country for Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire, for their CAF Confederation Cup dead rubber Group B clash against ASEC Mimosa.
The NPFL champions contingent left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, via Cote d’Ivoire Air Airline this morning (Friday).
Following the recent victory, Rivers United now sits second in Group B with three points.
The Port Harcourt club will lock horns with ASEC Mimosa at the Municipal Stadium in Yamoussoukro on Sunday.
Both teams are already through to the quarter-finals after amassing 10 points from five matches.
Rivers United top the group on goal difference and need just a point to cement their place at the summit.
Daring Club Motema Pembe of Congo and CSMD Diable Noirs of Angola will face each other in the group’s other game.
