Debutants, Remo Stars have been kicked out of the CAF Confederation Cup following the home loss against ASFAR FC at Ikenne.
Daniel Ogunmodede boys who nicked a 1-1 draw against the Morroco-based side last week to give themselves an away goal advantage going into the second leg were beaten at home by a goal to nil to end their dream debut.
Bashiru Monsuru’s howler in the 55th minute proved to be the breaking point as the Moroccans took the chance to get their goal and further frustrate Remo Stars with their time-wasting and delay stunts.
As they honorably bow out, Ogunmodede and his boys will rue their missed chances but will have a lot to reminisce back on for their experiences and needed improvement going forward.
