Remo Stars FC of Ikenne captain, Junior Nduka and one of the club’s new players, Alex Oyowah have revealed the biggest asset their team has going into Sunday’s CAF Champions Lesgue Clash with ASFAR of Morocco.
Sports247.ng was present, as Nduka and Alex disclosed during the pre-match briefing at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne that they will be banking on past experience to make a world of difference.
Although critics would recall how ASFAR sent Remo Stars packing from the CAF Confederation Cup two years ago, Nduka and Alex recalled that they and their teammates have all gained experience from playing previous continental matches.
While Nduka affirmed that he is set to line out in Africa for the third year running with Honourable Kunle Soname’s club, Alex disclosed that he previously played at the same level with Rivers United of Port Harcourt.
Nduka stated. “This is my third year playing in the continent, and I already have a lot of experience at this level.
“I am used to the pressure, and I know what the coach wants.
“Most importantly, I need to let my colleagues be in the right frame of mind, and I know we will win.”
Alex added: “Last season, I played continental football with Rivers United, and I know what is at stake.
“I learnt more about football then, and I have brought the experience here with me.
“I am happy that I also met many experienced players here at Remo Stars, and I know they will all deliver as expected.”
