Rivers United talisman, Nyima Nwagua is targeting the CAF Confederation’s Cup gong with his club as he allayed that the team can do much more than thier past achievements in recent times.
The Nigerian Professional Premier League (NPFL) defending champions will be in action tomorrow against Congolese outfit, Diables Noirs which happens to be thier first group stage game.
Rivers United are in Group B which consists of; ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), Diables Noirs (Congo) and DC Motema Pembe (DR Congo) in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Speaking briefly after thier training session in Brazzaville on Saturday, the star striker posited that they will attack the game head on.
“We have started the competition finding ourselves in the group stage, we respect the opponent but no fear.”
“The team will take each game that comes our way one after the other so we are not under pressure, we have made a good name for ourselves before now.”
“I think we can be able to do so much more now that we are here,” Nyima stated.
