This year’s tournament, the sixth edition, will run from October 19 to 26, 2024, in Hurghada, Egypt. Eight nations will participate: Egypt (hosts), Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, Tanzania, Mauritania, Mozambique, and Malawi. These teams will be drawn into two groups of four, with each nation aiming to showcase their beach soccer prowess.

Senegal, the reigning champions and four-time winners, will be looking to defend their title and extend their dominance in African beach soccer. Meanwhile, other teams, including hosts Egypt, will be determined to challenge for the championship.

The Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations is also a qualification pathway for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025, which will be hosted by Seychelles.

This marks the second time Egypt is hosting the event, following the 2018 edition in Sharm El Sheikh. The city of Hurghada, known for its scenic beaches, is expected to attract large crowds and beach soccer fans from across the continent.

Further details on the teams, procedures, and match fixtures will be revealed soon.
