Victor Osimhen has spurred his Super Eagles teammates to bring back the old good memories of global recognition of African players back.
Rashidi Yekini (Late), Emmanuel Amunike, Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Ikpeba are the only Nigerian ex international players to have won the honour of the CAF award player of the year in 1993, 1994, 1995,1996, 1998.
Victor Osimhen, the lille goal poacher has confidently said “We are blessed with group of players that can achieve this feat. There is Ndidi who has been doing consistently well with Leicester, Samuel Chukwueze, myself,Alex iwobi who is now at Everton and the rest of the players’
“the target is really high so as the standard, we are working hard to get there and bring the honor to Nigeria. It won’t be easy ride because we have so many worthy challengers, we will definitely achieve this,” he concluded.
