The upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone and
the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday will be officiated by Sudanese referee Mahmood Ali
Ismail, as announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Bakary Jammeh from Gambia has been appointed as the commissioner, while Kokou Djaoupe from Togo will serve as the referee assessor for the match.
Last time these two teams met on the opening day of the current series at the Moshood
Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Sierra Leone took an early lead before Nigeria’s Alex
Iwobi and Victor Osimhen scored to turn the game in Nigeria’s favor.
Upcoming match will take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia.
