The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has appointed referees from Nigeria to officiate in the upcoming 2025 CHAN zonal qualifying play offs which will begin on Friday 25 October 2024, Sports247 reports.
According to the official match appointments released by the body cited by correspondent, Kano State Referee Council’s Salisu Basheer will be at the center of the WAFU B zonal qualifying match between Togo and Benin Republic which will take place on Friday 25 October 2025, in Lome, Kengue Stadium.

He will be assisted on the lines by Usman Olaide Abdulmajeed and Tejiri Digbori Bensmart who are as Assistant Referee 1 and 2 respectively from Oyo State and Delta State Referee Council respectively while another Nigerian, Grema Mohammed will be the fourth official for the match.
The appointment is a continuation of the demonstration of confidence in Nigeria arbiters as CAF have been keeping Nigeria referees busy with appointments for continental and international games in the last couple of months .
Recall Joseph Ogabor was at the center during the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations Matchday three qualifier between Comoros and Tunisia.
