All things being equal, the final list of Buruj Sports Academy’s contingent to the English Super Cup in Manchester and Welsh Super Cup in Cardiff will be released by the management this week.
This much was revealed by the CEO of the Academy, Salaudeen Waheed, who returned from his trip to the United Kingdom where he held far-reaching talks with the CEO of Team Tours Direct, Terry O’Neill and his crew.
The Lagos based academy who won double titles during last year’s English Super Cup are looking forward to building on that success in this year’s edition and surpass that feat.
To this end both the management and technical crew have been busy with the process of players’ recruitment while all the necessary documents for the procurement of travel visas are being compiled.
The organisers of the tournament, Team Tours Direct, recently promised to expose the young Nigerian representatives against some EPL youth teams like Manchester United, Everton and Stoke City.
Top scouts and football agents from across the globe are also being invited to come over and watch the emerging stars in the world of football at the tournaments that produced the likes of Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Owen and many more in the past.
Meanwhile, ahead of their departure time for the trip, the management and technical department are already planning to expose the players (both the old and new) to regular friendly games to prepare the team well and ascertain the level of each player’s readiness.
