One player who caught the eyes when Buruj Sports Academy took on Eko U-17 Future Stars in a friendly game on Wednesday is Fawaz Tijani, a midfield player who was recently converted to a central defender by the technical crew of the academy.
The lanky lad who is well blessed with good physique and excellent technical abilities put up a very composed and assured display to check the attacking forays of the fleet-footed attackers of the Eko Boys to the admiration of the spectators who watched the preparatory match inside Agege Stadium.
He also covered the baseline of the defensive phase of the young Buruj Boys who are using the match to prepare for their upcoming trip to the United Kingdom where they are expected to feature in the English Super Cup in Manchester and Welsh Super Cup in Cardiff.
