Buruj Sports Academy will take on Sunshine Football Academy in a friendly game on this Friday, October 26, as part of preparations for their upcoming foreign trips that will see them participate in Manchester Cup in the United Kingdom and Spanish Cup in Spain.
The venue for the game is Olu Aina Street playing ground, off Isolo Road, Mushin, Lagos, while the kick-off time has been fixed for 12.00 noon.
Speaking on the importance of the match, the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, disclosed that he, his management and technical crew are determined to put the boys in top shape and expressed confidence and optimism that Sunshine Academy will provide the kind of opposition to achieve that objective.
“We want to ensure that our young players are in good shape and between now and time of departure for our first trip, we will continue to engage them so that they will be fully ready for the task ahead. ”
“We are sure that Sunshine Academy will give us a stern opposition that we require and hopefully both sides will benefit maximally from the game come Friday,” he said.
Beginning with the trial camp in Turkey in January, other countries where the Ikorodu-based academy will feature in tournaments include France, Spain, Germany, Italy and of course England where they won titles both in 2017 and this year 2018.
Registration of players is still ongoing both for the Manchester Cup and Spanish Cup and there are just few available space to complete the squads to both tournaments.
Meanwhile, all the travel and logistic requirements are also being put in top gear so that they can beat the deadline stipulated by the organisers of the Turkey trial camp.
