BURUJ SKIPPER NOAH SALAUDEEN’S HATTRICK SINKS FC BETHEL IN TRIAL GAME – As Team Shape Up Ahead Foreign Trip

Buruj Sports Academy defeated FC Bethel by 5-2 in a friendly match played on Tuesday afternoon at Araromi Grassroots Sports Centre, Gbagada, to demonstrate their readiness for the upcoming foreign trip being put together by the management of the academy.

Captain Noah Salaudeen opened the scores in the 9th minute with a well taken goal before the visitors responded to equalise in the 14th minute.

The highly mobile Bethel side raced to a lead in the 19th minute after capitalising on a mix-up in the defense line of the Buruj Boys before Noah bagged his brace in the 42nd minute to end the first stanza with 2 goals apiece.

On the resumption of the second half, Buruj Boys desperate to raise their game and prove some points scored their third courtesy another good strike off the boot of Ignatius Akuba before highly inspired Noah completed his hattrick in the 58th minute to take the game beyond redemption for Bethel.

And in the 77th minute, Chibuzor Newman added the 5th to put the ice on the cake of the highly impressive performance of the team that is gradually shaping up for the task ahead.

While reacting on the performance of the boys against FC Bethel, the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, expressed satisfaction over the individual and collective display of the boys saying with few more additions, the team will be ready for the foreign challenge.

He was particularly impressed by the performance of the team captain and Man Of The Match, Salaudeen Noah, who shone like a million stars playing from the midfield position and scoring a hattrick in the encounter.

“It was a good game with a strong performance from the boys. Both individually and collectively, they showed that they are beginning to understand the system we want to play. All the players gave a good account of themselves and hopefully, we will strengthen the team with new additions.”

“And for scoring three good goals, I am happy for the team captain Noah. He showed leadership and good composure all through and if he can continue to improve on training ahead the trip, he can only get better.,” he said.

Meanwhile, the management are poised to give new slots for the new entrants who are being expected to come forward and register before the final list will be rolled out to the public,.
