Due to logistic bottlenecks caused by the fast approach Xmas and New Year festivities, the much publicised Buruj Sports Academy’s 10th Anniversary Celebrations has been moved from December 24 this year to February 10, 2019.
The decision to move the date of the event which will see Fuji Music icon, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere (PK1st) leading other upcoming Hiphop artistes to thrill the invited guests and teeming fans, was arrived upon after due consultations with all stakeholders.
The venue of the event however remain the same- which is Araromi Youth Development Centre, Gbagada, Lagos; while all other activities leading to the new date will be intensified for a successful hosting of the event which will also see the young players of the academy entertain the guests and fans as they showcase their talents in real match situations.
While elaborating on the reasons behind the change of the date, the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, expressed his management regret and apology to all the invited guests, dignitaries, football chieftains both at the state and national level for any inconveniency the situation must have caused them.
He disclosed that the decision is to ensure that all concerned enjoy the yuletide season with their families, while he and his management team keep on working round the clock for a successful hosting of the event.
“The football and music carnival to celebrate our 10th anniversary will now hold on February 10, 2019, and not December 24 this year again. All other information about the venue, the performing artistes, security and entertainment remain the same.”
“We changed the date to accommodate all interests and also to ensure that nothing go amiss in a bid to organise a spectacular event of our dream.”
“We therefore thank the invited guests and general public for their love and support so far and we regret any inconveniencies that the change might cause them. By God’s grace, all of us will witness the event in good health,” Dr. Buruj said.
Meanwhile, the Customised Kits that will serve as entry outfit to the venue are still on sale at the Ikorodu head-office.
