Players and Officials of Buruj Sports Academy on Tuesday afternoon left the country shores aboard Emirates Airline to Manchester, the United Kingdom for this year’s edition of English International Super Cup where they are expected to defend the titles they won last year.
The players who are in high spirit were all in the buoyant mood as they storm Muritala Mohammed International Airport in the early hours of the day before they boarded the plane some minutes afternoon.
Speaking after before their departure, team skipper Noah Salaudeen disclosed that he and his teammates are ready to do the country proud just as they are hopeful of putting in their best individually.
He was also full of gratitude to the Life Matron of the Academy, Rev.Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, who he said has always been a source of inspiration and encouragement to the management and players.
It would be recalled that when they visited the United Kingdom in 2017 for the same competition, Noah, Ignatius Akuba and Azeez Oseni top the list of few members of the squad who attracted the nod of some football scouts which gave them the opportunity to undergo trial at Borehamwood FC in England.
On return in the 2018 edition, both Noah and Akuba shone like a million stars to win the double title for the Nigerian representative and with the level of preparation and experience, there are indications that they will up the ante this year for a more rewarding outing.
