Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy has issued a statement from the United Kingdom sending their goodwill message to the newly Lagos State Football Association board led by chairman Fuad Oki following the successful election where he floored his opponent to emerge as the sheriff in town.
A scion of Lago royal Abibu-Oki dynasty and an advocate of grassroots sports alongside the vice chairman in person of Alhaji Liameed Gafar Olawale, is also being recognized for his role in promoting grassroots football across the state.
Fuad Oki has been involved in Nigerian football for over 30 years and served as Chairman of Surulere Local Government Football Association. His experience and passion for the game will be invaluable in developing football in Lagos State. Liameed Gafar Olawale has also dedicated decades to supporting grassroots football as a coach and administrator.
His support of Fuad Oki and shared vision will help take Lagos State football to new heights, CEO Waheed Salaudeen posited.
“Buruj FC looks forward to working closely with the new LSFA leadership to promote youth football, support player development, and strengthen the local football ecosystem.”
“Together, we can build pathways for young players to achieve their dreams.”
On behalf of everyone at Buruj Football Club and Academy, congratulations to Hon. Fuad and Alhj. Liameed.
We wish you all the very best in your new roles. The hard work starts now but with your leadership, the sky is the limit for football in Lagos State.
