Fuji Music maestro, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere has joined other FC Barcelona fans both in Nigeria and across the globe following their resounding victory over EPL Giants Manchester United Tuesday night in the second leg of this year’s UEFA Champions League quarter final game.
The Chairman Board Of Trustees of Buruj Sports Academy also urged the fans of Manchester United to take the result in good faith, free of rancour and acrimony since according to him, football is a game you can win today and lose tomorrow.
PK Ist as the Ibadan, Oyo State-born musician is popularly called, also disclosed that his love for football and Barcelona as a team in particular is the reason why he is solidly behind Buruj Sports Academy in its drive to produce more Lionel Messis from Nigeria.
He said he is looking forward to a day when the Lagos academy under the CEO Salaudeen Waheed who he described as a good friend and fellow Barca fan will have players playing for big clubs is Europe.
Meanwhile, ahead of his installation as the Agbaakin Of Ibadanland by the Olubadan Of Ibadan on May 2nd, Alhaji Obesere has vowed to use the new title to further his commitment to peace, harmony and youth empowerment through sports.
