Top Nigerian and Kenyan athletes, being managed by renowned Sports and Culture Managers, Bunubunu Culture and Sporting Limited, will storm Onitsha, Anambra State on Saturday for the maiden Onitsha City Marathon. It is their way of honouring the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano for his support to Bunu Bunu during their Award night in Cubana, Lagos.
It would be recalled that Chief Obiano sent a special delegation that showed strong support and warmly received Bunu Bunu Award for Excellence in Sports, Culture and Youth Empowerment at the award night
The president of Bunubunu Culture and Sporting Limited, Mr. Izuchukwu Udegbunam, said the athletes, namely, Allan Kemboi Biwott and Sheila Jepkosgeu Chesang, all from Kenya will join their Nigerian counterparts – Emmanuel Gyang Gwom, Adamu Shehu Muazu, Gideon Goyet Tangka, Deborah PamBadung, Mary Iho Moses and Blessing Shambor Solomon in the 21 Kilometre race (Half Marathon) as a mark of honour for the good work Governor Obiano is doing in transforming sports and culture in Anambra State.
