Kaptin Idoko, the co-founder of Hoopdreams, recently shared his enthusiastic impressions of the just-concluded Kidsports Charity Cup Season 13, held at the Campos Mini Stadium.
Hoopdreams played a pivotal role as partners in organizing the inaugural basketball competitions introduced in this year’s event, adding a new layer of excitement to the annual sports extravaganza.
In an exclusive interview with Sports247, Kaptin expressed his excitement about the Kidsports event, noting that he had heard about it and seen previous editions on TV broadcasts.
He found the experience of being actively involved in the 13th edition, especially with the incorporation of basketball, to be particularly thrilling.
“The Kidsports event was rather exciting. I was impressed, and it was exciting to be a part of it this year, being the 13th edition and the maiden edition involving basketball,” Kaptin shared.
He continued, “Fortunately, we at Hoopdreams were tasked with making sure that part of the event was handled.”
He emphasized the engaging nature of the U12 basketball matches, highlighting the impressive skills demonstrated by the young players.
“It was pretty exciting to see the kids play basketball, especially the U12. I was very fascinated with the way they played. Watching basketball is always fun when you see people do it for a cause.
Also, the football side of it, watching the kids play football, cheering each other up, and supporting their teams was quite an exciting event, and everyone had fun. Ms. Bukola deserves her flowers and more grease to her elbow.”
