This is not the best time for the Bucknor Football Club following their 1-5 defeat suffered at the hands of R2 Finesse Football Academy in the ongoing Ikeja league championship.
The encounter was held this morning at the rehabilitation center, Isheri, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
Before today’s match, Bucknor conceded 1-11 against Beyond Limit Academy (Remo feeders) in a friendly match played at Remo Stadium, Shagamu, Ogun State.
Bucknor who are topping their group have suffered embarrassing result and the club has conceded 16goals in their last two matches.
Bucknor team manager, Abidemi Habeeb Adebowale expressed shock over defeat saying that the club is passing through the transition.
“The boys played well but lost many scoring chances which cost us our biggest defeat in the league. Presently some of our regular players are injured while we are testing some newly recruited players. So the fans should exercise patience with the club”, he said.
Adebowale urged the coaching crew to go back to the drawing board and find a lasting solution to the club’s poor run in the league before their next home match.
