Boavista defender Bruno Onyemaechi has expressed how his permanent deal with the Portuguese club at the start of the 2023/24 season boosted his confidence at Estádio do Bessa.

Initially joining Boavista on loan from Firense for the 2022/23 season, Onyemaechi’s performance earned him a permanent deal in August 2023, with a reported transfer fee of €1 million extending his stay until the summer of 2026. This move significantly influenced his market value, which has since risen to €3 million.
During the last season, the Nigerian left-back made 24 appearances in the Portuguese first division, contributing one assist.
His consistent performances have not only solidified his place in the team but have also increased his marketability and reputation in European football.
