Ex Nigerian International and Pepsi Football Academy Coach, Brown Ayodeji has urged the Nigerian Football Federation to give our National team coaches time to succeed, so as to ensure stability in the team.
The Former Enugu Rangers player and Captain of Gateway Fc stated that our coaches should be given adequate time and support to build a formidable team, which every Nigerian Football lovers will love to see.
In a chat with Sports247, the Pepsi Football Academy Coach stated that Former Nigerian Coach, Clemens Westerhof succeded as the Coach of the Super Eagles back then, due to the fact that he was given adequate time and support to build a stable and formidable team which everyone was proud of. He went on to urge the NFF to give our National team Coaches time, for them to succeed and stabilize the team, which everyone would be happy to watch.
“In the area of the National teams, when you talk about the squad that played in the USA 94, you will see that the team wasn’t built in a day or in a year. The Coach (Clemens Westerhof) had been with them for a long time. So to build a team like that squad, we need a long time period. Our NFF needs to give our coaches time to succeed. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Even though there may be lapses in our team, we should allow the coach to do his work, allow him to take command of the team, and gradually before we know it, we will see a formidable and stable team we all would be proud of,” he emphasized.
