Broad City midfield dynamo, Augustine Nwosu Chimobi who models his game after PSG Verratti and Real Madrid’s Isco has revealed his love and passion for the round leather and that he’s ready to give his all for the big European recognition which is the dream of all aspiring, young footballers.
In an exclusive interview with sports247.ng, the midfielder reminisced and described their draw against DN 10 who are also involved in the kings’ Cup scouting tourney as a very scintillating performance from both sides, attributing it to a league game.
He said, “the competition as a whole is a good platform for players to showcase themselves, a great initiative from the facilitators.”
On his long-term goal, he stated, “I have a target to make something worthwhile and be recognized in this competition above all, get a good contract in Europe, and then we will pick my career from there.”
“I choose football because it is my calling right from childhood, me watching the game makes me feel I can do more and give my best, it’s just like what I’m being born to do and I believe I can do it and gain relevance in the game so I keep on pushing.”
On his role models, “I have one or two players I always look up to like Marco Verratti in the midfield and Isco, these guys motivate me each time I watch them play.”
