Broad City FC director Bamidele Olusanya opnes up on the appointment of Micah Bello as new head coac
Broad City FC board director Bamidele Olusanya has opened up on the decision to appoint Micah Bello as the club’s head
coach. Bello was unveiled as the club’s new manager last week.
Speaking in an interview with Sports247, Olusanya explained the decision to hand the budding tactician the reigns at the club.
“After speaking with the club’s management we decided come up with a new model of grooming young players and ushering them into the the next level,” Olusanya said.
“Coach Micah is young, vibrant and a goal getter. He has been doing a fantastic job and the boys I think have been able to come up with a lot of differences in their game. We believe his appointment is going to be a great one for the team and the development of our club.”
Olusanya gave an incite on Broad City business model and spoke of the club’s partnership with foreign teams.
“We are partnering with a lot of teams in Europe right now. Thanks to Covid-19, we were eased some contracts and some of our partnerships with some international clubs and agencies out there.
“That is more reason why we need to employ new people. They actually requested for us to get a good coach who is going to train our boys.
“After sending the first stage of our proposal and PowerPoint to them they saw that our boys were good but they needed some development based on coaching and development so we decided to come up with a new coach and that has actually helped. And we believe that with that we are going to the next stage.” he added.
