Goalkeeper Adeniyi Bamidele is confident Jigawa Golden Stars will have their say against Nasarawa United in the Ahlan Cup 2019 semi-final.
The Giant Killers beat Plateau United 5-4 on penalties to reach the semi-finals, where they’ll face Nasarawa United at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Kickoff is at 4pm.
It will be recalled that Nasarawa United pipped Jigawa Golden Stars 1-0 in a group stage match at the ongoing Ahlan Cup 2019.
“We played very well against Plateau United and won on penalties,” said Bamidele Adeniyi to Ahlan Cup Media.
“Now we’ve got an important semi-final and need to focus only on that.
“We can beat Nasarawa United and we must. They are a truly great squad, but we will have our say. They pass the ball around well, but we have to focus on our own characteristics. No game is to be taken for granted, we are capable of winning and hope to do so.”
