High flying Brentford are reportedly keen to bring in Watford’s Nigeria international striker, Emmanuel Dennis this summer to partner Ivan Toney following the club’s relegation from the just concluded England Premiership season.
The 24-year-old striker enjoyed a stellar season with the Hornets in the Premier League despite the club being immediately relegated back to the Championship prompting Thomas Frank’s interest to bring the forward on board at the Brentford Community Stadium ahead of the new season.
Dennis who currently is on international friendlies with the Super Eagles of Nigeria scored 10 goals and registered six assists totaling 16 goals contribution for Watford across 33 games in the league last season.
Brentford are thought to view this as an impressive return for a player who was playing amid difficult circumstances at Watford.
The Bees are said to value him at around the £20m mark. Watford paid £3m for the player from Belgian side Club Brugge last summer.
It is reported that the Belgian outfit would be entitled to a small sell-on fee, thought to be around five per cent.
Dennis could have a choice of destination as it is also suggested that Crystal Palace are in for the player.
Manager Patrick Vieira is wanting to build on his impressive first season with the Eagles and new arrivals are expected at Selhurst Park to continue the club’s resurgence under the Frenchman.
