As part of this advanced certification, Yema will undergo hands-on training with Premier Soccer League side Stellenbosch FC, working directly under the guidance of head coach Steve Barker.

Stellenbosch, currently in strong form and sitting third in the PSL table, recently held Egyptian giants Zamalek SC to a goalless draw in the CAF Confederation Cup—a testament to the high-performance environment Yema is stepping into.

This isn’t Yema’s first international coaching education experience. In 2023, he was in Scotland for an earlier phase of the UEFA B course, showcasing his consistent dedication to personal growth and professional development.

Upon completing this stage, he will officially earn the UEFA B license, further solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s most progressive young coaches.

With previous stints as assistant coach at MFM FC and Vandrezzer FC, head coach of Enyimba FC, and a role with Nigeria’s U-17 national team, Yema brings a diverse range of experience to the table. His commitment to education, international exposure, and talent development sets him apart as a rising figure in African football coaching.

This latest move not only enhances his qualifications but also positions him as a coach to watch—both at home and abroad.
