Breaking News: Stakeholders Brace Up As Gov Sanwo-Olu May Re-Open Sports Centre

Sports stakeholders in Lagos have expressed their optimism that Lagos State Governor,Babajde Sanwo-Olu may re-open sports centers as the partial lockdown issued by federal and state government two weeks ago lapse today.

The chairman of Presidential Task Force on covid-19 headed by Mustapha Boss is expected to brief President Muhammad Buhari early today the situation reports to decide if the partial lockdown continues or not.

It was reported that the Presidential Task Force has given state governors to take decision on their next action based on the current situation of their states amid pandemic disease.

As Lagosians are waiting for Governor Sanwo-Olu to ease the partial lockdown and reopen businesses today ,some coaches,football organisers, footballers and football club owners are bracing up to see all sports centers in Lagos reopen.

Lagos chapter,Prince Tunde Alade said said all football academies in Lagos are waiting for Governor Sanwo-Olu to include sports activities as part of the businesses he will re-open today.

While Head coach of Messiah FC, David Dosu said staying three month at home as a coach is not easy saying he would be happy if Gov Sanwo-Olu reopen sports centers today.

In his remark,a football organiser, prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said he is waiting for Lagos State Football Association LSFA to issue a statement immediately Gov Sanwo-Olu reopen sports centres and lift ban on sports activities.

Some footballers who spoke to Journalists over the weekend said they could not continue to stay indoor after three months.They urged government to reopen sports centers so that sports activities would return to the state after three months of lockdown.

Some club owners said since sports activities had started in Europe and some part of the world,there is no reason sports activities would continue to paralyse not only in Lagos and Nigeria generally.
