Remo Stars are now in the CAF continental games following the 1-0 victory against Bendel Insurance today at the final matchday of the 2022/2023 NPFL Championship Play-offs at the Mobolaji Johnson Onikan Lagos Arena to compound Bendel Insurance woes.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s side went ahead in the 36th minute through academy product, Akanni Qudus after a loose ball in the 18 yard ball fell at his feet, he calmly slotted it beyond the reach of Bendel Insurance goalkeeper.
The Ikenne based club were able to hold on to the lead going into halftime and upon resumption of the second half, both sides couldn’t convert the chances created as Remo Stars ran out as eventual winner to top the log pending the result between Enyimba and Rivers United.
With nine points in five games, they are now into CAF Confederation’s Champion League in grand style.
