With more cases of corona virus being confirmed in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate postponement of the national sports festival.
This was disclosed by the minister for sports and youth development, Sunday dare through his twitter handle after a briefing at the state house that involved the minister of state for health, the sports minister and the president.
According to the minister, the postponement was taken as precautionary move by the federal government to prevent the spread of corona virus in the country.
The 20th national sports festival was due to start on Sunday in Edo state.
