The outgoing president of Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Amaju Pinnick has pledged his support for the candidate who emerges winners in today’s NFF presidential elections.
Pinnick disclosed this while addressing the elective congress this morning at the NFF AGA / Elective Congress at the Heritage Hotel,Benin,Edo state.
The Delta born football administrator commended the outgoing board members for their commitment and dedication to football development in the country insisted that he would continue to support the new board members.
“I will support whoever wins as president of the NFF and I want all the football stakeholders to give necessary support to the new board member and I wish all the candidates their best luck,”he said.
Pinnick however urged the football stakeholders should not put pressure on the new elected board members rather they should give them their unalloyed support to take the Nigerian football to the next level.
He also thanked federal and Edo state government for their support to the Nigeria Football Federation.
Meanwhile deputy governor of Edo Philip Shuiab also commended Pinnick board members for their dedication to football development in the last eight years and urged the football family to unite so as to make the football forward.
Meanwhile the NFF election would hold this afternoon to decide who would become new president of the NFF.
