The excitement continued at the European Union compound, emphasizing inclusivity by engaging young gymnasts from diverse backgrounds. By Thursday, public schools took the stage at a Schools Level 1–3 competition, ensuring community-wide representation.

The grand finale of Tony International Gymnastics, held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, showcased top athletes competing at Levels 1–10 and High-Performance categories, making it the most diverse edition yet. TIG President Tony Asuquo reflected on the journey:

“This week underscores our mission to build gymnastics in Nigeria, align with global standards, and aim for the 2028 Olympics. It’s a testament to the resilience and potential of our athletes.”

He also urged greater government involvement to bolster private sports academies and praised Mallam Shehu Dikko and DG Bukola Olopade for their visionary leadership in revitalizing Nigerian sports.

Notably, cash awards—sponsored by FAXX Supermarket—were presented to winners, marking a first in the country’s gymnastics history.
