Mrs James-Jegede who spoke shortly after the club engaged Nigeria’s U20 Women’s team in a friendly match at the weekend at FIFA Goal Project, located inside Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja expressed delight with the improving performance of the Abuja-based Naija Ratels.
“I like the fact that you players are playing for each other on the pitch with noticeable improvements. What remains now is for you to remain focused to actualize the set goals.
“Just keep looking forward, the sky can only be your starting point. As the season is about to start, I want you to make Abuja and your fans all over the country proud with better results,” the club boss told players.
Earlier, the Club’s Head Coach, Bankole Olowookere, assured that the club’s performance will keep rising and that the technical crew has taken note of the lapses that would be worked on going forward.
Also, other members of the coaching crew took time out to speak on their assessment of the team.
The test game which is part of preparation for Falconets’ FIFA U20 World Cup qualifier, was watched by sizeable spectators and top football administrators including the Chairman of Benue State Football Association and Founder of Naija Ratels, Barr. Paul Edeh.
Later on, Barr. Edeh said so far he was impressed with the steady coaching improvement and the team’s overall progression despite regular call-ups of the club’s players to various National teams as well as transition to foreign and other domestic sides.
He said, “I think the coaching crew led by Coach Bankole Olowookere has done well with the club, looking at the level of consistent technical input and progress that have been impressive.
