Box2box Fc are the Champions of the 2020 Legend Cup tournament after defeating Bethel Fc 3-0 in the final match played at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos state.
Two goals from Obi Jerry and a goal from Andrew Michael handed Box2Box Fc the Cup and were declared Champions of the 2020 Legend Cup tournament.
Coach of the Legend Cup 2020 Champions, Reuben Randy was named the best Coach of the tournament, after his team scored 8 goals and conceded just a single goal throughout the tournament.
In an interview with Sports247 after their victory against Bethel Fc, the Box2Box tactician felt grateful to God, commended the efforts of his players, throughout the tournament, as well as also commending the efforts of his goalkeeper who conceded just a single goal throughout the tournament.
“I want to say a very big thank you to God Almighty, its been God all the way, I thank God for the kind of boys he gave to me, because without them, there can never be a Coach Randy. I just give thanks to God, because talking to them, for them to listen is something else, I don’t even know what to say but just to thank God.
While still speaking, he also talked about the his goalkeeper who was declared the best goalkeeper in the tournament, describing him as a fantastic and all-round goalkeeper, who is now evolved to the modern way of playing football.
“In my playing days I was a goalkeeper, I think maybe that is the secret, because we use to talk. As a goalkeeper, when you make mistakes, you try to correct it, you need to know how to play. Now everybody plays football, from the Goalkeeper to the defense, to the midfield and to the striker. He is a fantastic goalkeeper”, he concluded.
