Plateau United of Jos coach, Kennedy Boboye has thrown his weight behind tacticians who are under fire at their clubs, especially those who are facing pressure from rebellious players.
While taking into account the ongoing saga between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba at Manchester United of England, Boboye told sports247.ng that it unfair to the manager.
Bopboboye, though, recounted that he once did same against a coach during his playing days, but recounted how he had to seek forgiveness in order to move ahead.
The former under-23 national team striker, who got a red during one of the matches of the All Africa Games during his heyday, said he will always pity coach around the world that is facing players’ revolt against them.
Boboye recalled: “I once did that and had to seek for forgiveness. I did it as a player but, now that I am professional coach, I now realize how it feels for players to rise against their coach.
“Some of the players do it because they feel they are not getting the desired regular playing time they want; others just do it because they are proud. Whatever the reason, it is now good to rise against your coach’s idea or philosophy.”
