It was jubilation galore for the fans, players, and entire staff of a Lagos based women premier club, FC Robo Queens when the club owner, Emmanuel Osahon presented 36 seaters coaster bus to the team to mark his birthday which held yesterday in Lagos.
Osahon who turned to a year older yesterday shocked fans, well-wishers who came to celebrate with him by presenting coaster bus to FC Robo Queens in preparation for the 2020-2021 Nigeria women football league NWFL.
In a chat with our correspondent, the Former stationery stores goalie said he presented the coaster to FC Robo Queens as part of a surprise package for the club and also to mark his birthday.
“I have been waiting for today (Friday) to come and present this gift to the team. I have been nursing to have a coaster bus for years ago and I think this is the best time to present it to the entire staff and management of FC Robo Queens and Fx Robo Warriors. I did not tell anybody about the coaster but I used it as a surprise package for everybody,” he said.
Commenting on how he felt about his birthday, the club chairman thanked the vice-chairman of Nigeria Football Federation NFF Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, Nigeria women football league NWFL headed by Aisha Falode, Nigeria women football club owners headed by Maltida and women football club owners in Lagos for their messages.
“I also want to thank Lagos State Football Association LSFA for their messages, prayers, and support. I thank our fans, my players both home and abroad for their messages and prayers. Also, I cannot forget the entire management and staff of FC Robo Queens and FC Robo Warriors and Nigerian media who covered club activities in the last few years. I am using this medium to thank them for being there for me and my club during this pandemic period,” said Osahon who thanked God for sparing his life and family.
Commenting on the coaster bus the club chairman donated, team manager of the club, Bayo Ademisoye expressed gratitude to God for the gift and thanked the club chairman for his kind gesture.
“I was shocked to see the coaster written on it FC Robo Queens of Lagos. I was speechless for a while because the club chairman deserves all support from all and sundry of Lagos. He has elevated the status of the club and I want to say that what we can do to reciprocate what he did is by doing well in the next season in the league,” he said.
