Big Daddy FC Agbor Wins Inaugural Delta North Football Coaches Tournament

Big Daddy FC agbor emerged the champions of the Inaugural Edition of the Delta North Football Coaches Association Tournament 3-0 on Penalties over Osevan FC of Kwale after full time scores ended 0-0.

The match which was played at the Agbor Township Stadium with hundreds of Fans held at the edge of their seat throughout the duration of the match.

Simon thought he had scored the opener in the 32nd minute only for the Assistant Referee to flag him offside.

The first half ended 0-0 with both sides missing near chances but Big Daddy Goalkeeper was outstanding in keeping out Osevan FC Strikers.

Osevan sat deep in the first half trying to hit Big Daddy on the counter but in the second half they came out stronger and twice came close to scoring however it was Big Daddy that found the back of the net only to be flagged offside again by the Eagle eyes of the Assistant Referee.

The match ended 0-0 at full time and Big Daddy Goalkeeper proved to be the hero saving 2 kicks and forced the third kick wide from Osevan players while Big Daddy spot kick takers were perfect.

The home fans thronged the pitch in celebration as Big Daddy emerged champions.

Special Guest of honor Hon Lucky Sunday the SA to Gov Senator Ifeanyi Okowa presented the giant trophy to the champions.

Chairman of the Delta North Football Coaches Association Coach Emeka Okwutu lauded both teams for putting a great show while commending Osevan FC for their gallantry.

“Congratulations to Big Daddy as champions, they are no doubt the most improved Team in this tournament however kudos to Osevan FC as they showed great Tenacity to get to this stage and only lost on penalties.” Coach Emeka stated moment after the match.

Media Director of Delta North Football Coaches Association Dr. Ken Gadaffi notes that this tournament will get bigger in the future as it stands to help unearth talents.in the state.

“This Tournament will grow bigger in the future, its a way to give the Grassroots teams in Delta North opportunity to uncover talents” he said
” The standard and quality displayed this year even with such a short notice is overwhelming and promising” he noted.
