The Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, Coach Abdullahi Biffo has attributed the outcome of their friendly match with Ekiti United FC to bad pitch, even as he added that the experience will only put his team at advantage when the league begins.
Ekiti United FC forced Kwara United FC to a one-all draw today, at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, with the two goals scored from the spots. Kwara United FC got their goal through Magaji Issa in the 19th minute, while Ifeanyi Anyanwu, who also scored from the spot, equalised for the homers in the 62nd minute.
In his reaction, Coach Biffo, who lamented the bad pitches his team had to play in, against Crown FC at Soun Ogbomoso Stadium, against Osun United at Osogbo Stadium and at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium against Ekiti United FC said that it’s part of the challenges they will face in the league.
‘The good thing is that we are gradually adapting to the ugly challenges in terms of bad pitches, and the players are cruising along with it, which is good for us’, he said.
Coach Biffo, who downplayed his team’s unbeaten run in the run of friendly matches played so far said that the build-up of the team is encouraging, adding that the blending had ensured that each and every player is contributing to the team’s gradual progress.
‘I cherish a situation where each and every player is contributing, and that is what we have so far achieved, and I must say that the team is improving with every match played’, he added.
The 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will kick off on November 22nd, and Kwara United will host Gombe United in their first game of the season at the Kwara state Stadium, Ilorin.
